Galana Teachers Training College (GTTC) has been offering Primary Teachers Education (PTE) culminating in P1 and P2 certificates since. A lot has changed especially with the inception of the Competence Based Curriculum (CBC) and Competency Based Teacher Education (CBTE). This has brought about a review in teaching strategies to focus more on learners acquisition of core competences that help them integrate productively in the society.
For this reason GTTC has duly implemented the new programs namely Diploma in Primary Teacher Education (DPTE), Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (DECTE) and Upgrade for the PTE students. Upon embracing the new programs, the College strives to be A Centre of excellence in teacher education and human resource development.

GTTC put herself on a new platform of ensuring that the institution is well managed and delivers efficient and quality services. It is within this context that the College has pursued ISO certification (ISO 9001:2015 certified by KEBS). The College has also embraced Performance Contracting (PC) and launched the 2021-2025 Strategic Plan. The College has also developed a Service charter to monitor our performance in an effort to continuously improve on service delivery.

I gladly recognize and acknowledge the roles played by the Board of Management, the teaching staff, support staffs and the students of GTTC in the attainment of the College Motto, Vision and Mission.
